Play Klondike Solitaire with the rules at hand
Try Klondike Solitaire at your own pace and keep its objective in view. Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Keep the instructions close while learning this activity. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move.
One deck; draw-one or draw-three stock; waste recycling. Free solo play, no wagering.
An idea for your next attempt
Locate the buttons and input area before beginning a long round. Use the on-screen labels to avoid an accidental restart. Use the example to check your reasoning.
What counts as success
Build four suit foundations from ace to king. An attractive position is not enough unless the goal is met. Check the rules when you are unsure.
The playing sequence
- Build down in alternating colours; kings fill empty columns. Valid ordered runs move together.
- Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
- Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
- Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.
The controls to know
Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Keep the playing area visible while using these controls. Check any mode label before starting.
See how the rules apply
A red 6 fits a black 7, not another red 7. Focus on why the action is allowed, not only its outcome. Keep the game’s format in mind.
A useful caution
Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. A different version of the game may use a different rule. Choose one rule to keep in mind for this round. Apply it consistently rather than guessing what another version might allow.
